Question:
After installing codolex and trying to run it, I get the following error:
‘The Application Was Unable to Start Correctly (0xc0000…) Click ok to close the application.’ Why do I get this, and how do I solve it?
Answer:
It could occur after an installation that your Windows Defender identifies one of the codolex.bpl files as a threat. This is the result of licensing some parts of the code. This encrypts parts of the .bpl, making Windows Defender unable to scan it.
When a file is marked as a threat, it gets removed from the system, so codolex cannot find all the necessary .bpl files on startup.
To solve this issue, take the following steps:
- Go to settings → privacy & security
- Open the protection area virus & threat protection
- Under current threats, open the history
- Check if any of the latest threats involve ‘Codolex{FileandVersion}.bpl’ files.
- Click on actions → restore, to restore the files and exclude them from the defender
- Try to start codolex again and see if all the errors are solved.
If the error persists after excluding all codolex files, or another error occurs, please contact codolex support.
